My ad is full of symbols and characters and is unrecognizable! (Printer friendly version - PDF)

PROBLEM: My ad is almost unrecognizable when I paste it into the Description form. What happened?

Some organizations use a specific Word form or template to create their job ads. With forms, there is always some specific coding that works with your program, but that doesn’t look right when it’s copied into HTML (the language we use for listings).

If you copy/paste a form document into your job ad at CharityVillage.com, it might wind up looking something like this:

At present, the technology doesn’t exist to copy a form from Word into HTML without this happening.

You will need to recreate your ad either in a new Word document without form fields, or directly in the description field from the job ad on your desk.
